caps over montreal in 5
i think if there is an upset in the first round on the east itll be philly but ill play it safe and say devils in 6
buffalo in 6
pittsburgh in 4
san jose in 6
chicago in 4
you must realllly trust jonathan quick. i don't. vancouver in 6.
detroit in 5
so then we'd have washington and pittsburgh in the second round, which im obviously wary about, but ill go caps in 6, then devils over sabres in 7.
out west then we'll have san jose and detroit, and i can get behind the annual sharks choke going down here and say detroit pulls it out in 6. then chicago takes down vancouver in 7.
eastern finals, washington over the devils in 5.
western finals, chicago over detroit in 6.
then washington over chicago in 7 for the cup.
obviously a lot of homerism there but it's hardly unrealistic. i could totally see philly pulling the upset over nj if brodeur plays like he did in the olympics, and i wouldnt mind waiting an extra round to play the pens. the only thing i really disagree about is your faith in the kings. i just think theyre still too young and i don't trust quick yet. i realize this is incredibly hypocritical given that i have chicago playing game 7 of the finals when they enter the playoffs with niemi between the pipes, but i dont care because chicagos fucking good and i cant say the same about LA yet.
most likely first round upset: detroit over phoenix. obviously.
least likely first round upset: nashville over chicago.
